    We loved this place. The food was absolutely amazing, we had 2 waiters and 1 waitress and they were very attentive. Side entrees were huge. I asked them to spread roses on the table so it could be romantic and they did just that. Bill was expensive of course but that’s to be expected. Will definitely return many, many times.

    Very swanky. Top notch service with a smile. Food and drinks were fantastic. There's several parking lots in the area but I decided to use the valet service which was convenient. This place is all about atmosphere. I really enjoy going upscale and Steak 48 is definitely upscale. Want to be treated like royalty well this is the place. This was my 1st time visiting and won't be my last. The manager was very nice. He goes from table to table checking to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. Great job Steak 48

    My husband and I just completed our dining experience here and the service was exceptional. Food was properly timed all wait staff were incredibly courteous. However, when we entered the restaurant for our dinner reservation, we were sat in the lounge, we requested to be moved to the main dining area. When we were moved we were told that a table had just opened up and that people are sat according to notes in the reservation. It was a birthday dinner for two, we did not request to eat in a lounge. The appetizers were awesome, the environment was relaxed, the dress code, questionable. Dessert was phenomenal. My lamb chops left much to be desired the rack came with 8 pieces I ate 1 the flavor profile was just not quite right. I spoke with our server and manager about the lamb as it was the only part of the meal that I didn’t enjoy, they apologized and offered free dessert. Overall pretty average restaurant in Philly but if you do go, avoid the famous stairs and focus on truly enjoying the experience with servers like Lana and waitstaff assistant Naffis.

    Took my husband for his birthday, and I must say, I was a little discouraged by the reviews. But I'm so glad I took a chance and made reservations anyway. The restaurant itself was elegant. The design, staircase, the glass, and lighting were beautiful. I absolutely loved the open added so much character and personality to the restaurant. Let's talk FOOD! 😋 I must say the appetizers were my favorite! I would go back just for the apps! My husband and I weren't crazy over the steaks, but the apps definitely made up for the lack luster steaks. Also the beignets were quite good. Might I add that paying $300+, we would have liked to have enjoyed our steaks more. 💔

    Wow!!! Hands down Steak 48 is in my top 3 best restaurants. Cindy our server was excellent!!!! It's not cheap but it's worth every penny. I strongly recommend Steak 48.

    Steak 48 was created to break traditional boundaries associated with steakhouse dining.     At the helm of the kitchen is Philadelphia-native Executive Chef Robert Watson (previously of Dominick’s Steakhouse and Steak 44), with support from Chief Executive Chef Marc Lupino, who leads Steak 48’s culinary program and has been part of the team since the early 2000s. Together, the dynamic chef duo presents a bespoke menu of Steak 48’s signature USDA prime steaks, ultra-premium wagyu beef, and the freshest highest quality seafood flown in daily. Along with creative and interesting appetizers, side dishes, and desserts.

    Steak 48’s extensive wine program features a robust collection of expertly-chosen varietals from around the world, including more than 48 wines-by-the-glass and 650 wines by-the-bottle, spanning a wide range of options all best in class. Exclusive to Philadelphia, Steak 48 has partnered with Blanton’s Bourbon and selected a signature single barrel of whiskey – curating the spirit’s flavor profile and aging sequence to pair with select Steak 48 menu items.
